This March, Word of Life Bible Institute students traveled throughout Europe as part of Go Mobilize 2026. Serving alongside local missionaries in Portugal, Poland, Spain, Scotland, Serbia, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic, the teams discovered that even simple acts of service can create opportunities to share the hope of Jesus Christ.
Serving Wherever Needed
Each team entered a different ministry setting. Students led Bible clubs and youth groups, served children in foster homes, helped prepare camps, renovated ministry spaces, visited schools, and encouraged local churches.
Street evangelism was also an important part of many of the trips. In seaside towns, city centers, and local communities, students stepped outside their comfort zones to distribute gospel literature, share their testimonies, and begin conversations about faith.
In Lithuania, students served with a youth group that had recently grown from eight young people to around 30. In Scotland, a community “Street Café” provided free hot drinks and opportunities for gospel conversations. In the Czech Republic, the team helped host a day camp for Ukrainian children.
Though the ministries looked different, the purpose remained the same: to come alongside local believers and help young people take their next step with Jesus.
A Life-Changing Conversation
While sharing the gospel in Portugal, first-year student Christyann Hagy met a teenage girl who was unsure whether she believed in God.
Christyann listened to her questions and explained that knowing God is not simply about following religious rules but about entering a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Their conversation continued through text messages later that evening.
“She said it seemed like such a beautiful thing to believe in,” Christyann shared. “That evening, she received Jesus as her Lord and Savior and is now praying and reading the Bible. Praise God!”
For Christyann and many other students, Go Mobilize was more than a ministry assignment. It was an opportunity to see God working through willing believers, intentional conversations, and faithful local ministries across Europe.
