A Spanish-Speaking Church Finds the Word of Life Interactive Devotional

A Church in California Deepened Their Faith with the Quiet Time Devotional

Located in the heart of a diverse community in Van Nuys, California, is a bustling, Spanish-speaking church with over 3,000 congregants, mostly Hispanic brothers and sisters. This church has 35 small groups across different cities in California and hosts interactive Zoom small group studies, all with one goal: to deepen their relationship with God.

For months, the church leadership team had been praying and searching for a devotional resource to support their members’ spiritual growth. After four months of prayer and searching, they discovered the Interactive Quiet Time Devotional in Spanish online, with no previous connection to Word of Life.

The Quiet Time Devotional, with its structured and thoughtful approach to Bible study, was exactly what this church had prayed to find. Each week, small groups use the Quiet Time guide to steer their discussions and reflections.

For one member in particular, the Quiet Time Devotional was a personal blessing. A woman in the congregation had long been praying for her husband to not only read but also understand and apply the Bible in his life. This had been her prayer for many years, as she hoped to see their family grow in faith together. The Quiet Time Devotional became a nightly ritual for them as they prayed and studied the Bible together.

One evening, after their nightly prayer, her husband turned to her and said, “Thank God, I am finally understanding the Bible. I will apply it in my life.” These words were a testament to the answered prayers of a devoted wife.

We are so thankful that this church has benefited from the Quiet Time Devotional. We are grateful that God continues to use this devotional tool to reach people from diverse backgrounds, both in the United States and around the world.
