What Can God Do In 44 Hours?
We rejoice over another winter season of winter camp in NY, FL, OH, and CA. These 44-hour camp weekends were extraordinary places where amazing things happened!
Our Winter Camps—Snowcamp, Pursuit Camp, and Intersect Camp—welcome teenagers from near and far to experience a weekend of winter camp filled with new friendships, meaningful conversations, mind-blowing amounts of fun, and the gospel presented with clarity and intentionality.
From the first step off the bus, teen campers bring their packed bags, uncertainties, and questions about their faith. Yet, with that same first step, they’re warmly greeted by their camp counselor, a stranger and soon-to-be friend who has prayed for them well before meeting them. In that moment and for the rest of the weekend, campers encounter the presence of God and a community of believers wildly dedicated to bringing the life-changing goodness of the gospel within their reach.
Two Camper Testimonies
- A camper came from a home where her father is a Muslim, and her mother is a Christian. She was admittedly unsure which one to listen to. The girl attended a breakout session, and the speaker gave a presentation on different world religions, including Islam. The youth leader shared that after the breakout session, the girl came up to her and said, “I finally know which way to go; I choose Jesus!”
- Another touching testimony speaks on the power of prayer. A camper girl decided to put her faith in Jesus on a Saturday night. She rushed back to her cabin to share the news with her cabin. Little did she know, two of her friends in her cabin had been fervently praying for her salvation since the previous year. In a beautiful display of the power of intercession through prayer, these two girls revealed that they had written her name on the “Life Change” board the previous year. “So, whose name are the three of us going to write down now?” – they asked.
These stories are not isolated incidents but symbolic of the incredible work God continues to do in the lives of young people at Snowcamp, Pursuit Camp, and Intersect Camp. As we reflect on the winter of 2024, let us celebrate the countless souls who met their Savior.
Snowcamp, Pursuit Camp, and Intersect Camp Total Numbers
- Total Campers: 4,611
- Salvation Decisions: 355
- Dedication Decisions: 3,094
These numbers reveal a God who is all-powerful and is not bound by time. He can choose to lead people to himself over a lifetime, 44 hours, or one 30-minute conversation. Whatever the Lord chooses, He wants to use us to accomplish His will, and we’re thankful to be His vessels.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20
