Teens Leading the Way in Jeju, South Korea
A few years ago, seven teenagers from Jeju attended a Word of Life camp held on the Bible Institute Jeju campus. During their time there, they encountered the life-changing gospel of Jesus and gave their lives to Him.
Fast forward to today, these same teens took the reins in their local church and planned and led a church camp that had a turnout of 40 students! From attendees at a Word of Life camp to camp leaders themselves, it’s so encouraging to see the ripple effect of discipleship spreading across Jeju. As 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” God loves to work in and through young people, and His power is so often displayed through young hearts.
The Word of Life Korea team provided these teens guidance, support, and resources as they prepped for this camp week. What a privilege it was for the Word of Life Korea team to offer support as these teens sought to bring the gospel to their very own generation.
Winter Camp Season
We also celebrate the success of their recent winter camp season. Across eight camps, including those on the mainland and Jeju, they saw a total of 333 campers and an amazing 135 professions of faith in Jesus.
Spring Ministry Update
Their spring ministry is in full swing, with their student ministry team hitting the ground running, serving approximately 250 teens every two weeks in six local schools through Bible Clubs.
